My Best (Phone) Case Scenario – Bandolier Case Review

 

I first thought about a wearable cell phone case when my mother-in-law had been looking for one for work. Some people don’t necessarily always like to put their phone in their back pocket, so she was in need of a wearable phone case. The thought of it for my lifestyle seemed OK, but not necessary.

Then it really hit me when I became a mom!!

I now appreciate any and everything that allows me to be hands free. There seems to never be a time when I am not carrying something (food, shopping/grocery bags, diaper bag) or holding my toddler, taking the stroller out, and the list goes on and on. I’ll be looking for my keys, sunglasses, or my phone, too. This is how I end up misplacing things.

So here is where the Bandolier phone case comes in…

The Bandolier phone case is a wearable cell phone case/cross-body style phone case. It is very functional and stylish. It is made from genuine leather and has rings on the bottom two corners where you can clip-on a strap design of your choice. The touch-screen, camera, control buttons on the side, and ports are all accessible without having to open the case, too. On the back, it also has a small pocket where you can slip in a credit card or two.

My favorite thing about it is the accessibility. I love how I can just access the camera so quickly to snap those candid moments. Besides the camera, just being able to answer a call or text at a moments notice was so important to me. I don’t have to keep taking it in and out of my bag. When my brother was in and out of the hospital, I wanted my phone on me at all times in case there were important updates. It’s really made for people who want a way to have their phones easily and quickly attainable at all times.

The case almost looks like a chic mini handbag. When I carry it, there have been two times when I had to go through a security line and the guard asked me to remove my bag.  They were surprised when I said, “Oh actually it’s my phone, not a bag!”

It is so convenient for my lifestyle, too. Since I’m a mom of a 16 month old, I’m still carrying around my son’s diaper bag. If I have him in the stroller with the diaper bag in the compartment underneath, I don’t need to bend over and dig through my bag every time I need my phone or hear it ring. I love that!

There are two cons I have about the Bandolier. The first is that it hangs a little lower that I’d like it to, but being able to remove the strap and stick my phone in a bag, if needed, makes up for it. Lets face it, I don’t ALWAYS want my phone on me, but with this case I love having options. The second con is the price, but I always believe that you get what you pay for. With that said, you are getting a great quality phone case for the price. If you really want to go the cheaper route (because who doesn’t want to save some cash), there are some knock-offs on Amazon if you’re willing to try those out. However, I’m sure long-term durability is at stake. But if you don’t mind it, then have a look at those.
