Wearing My Encouragement

When it comes to getting encouragement, it helps to have reminders. There are great things to turn to when finding it such as your support team (family and friends), music, or books, just to name a few.

While I can definitely find comfort in those mentioned above, wearing jewelry as my encouragement is something I’m doing more of lately.  It’s a great reminder that I have with me at all times. These jewelry pieces are something I wear quite frequently.

My favorite necklace at the moment is from Bravelets.com. They are an e-commerce jewelry store that contributes 10% of the money from each purchase towards the charitable organization of the purchaser’s choosing. There are at least 30 causes listed on the site. I chose cancer because it’s something that has affected a family member of mine in the past and unfortunately also affecting another family member at the moment. It’s so nice to support a business who helps supports others in small way.

The necklace is engraved with “Be Brave” on it. It’s a source of inspiration and gives me confidence. I really like that I am wearing a symbol of bravery and resilience and it’s going towards a good cause. I’ve visited my family member in the hospital many times throughout their diagnosis and treatments in the last two years, and as crazy as it sounds, I cling onto it when I need it. I remember what the message is to me. I remember why I chose it. I am thankful for the beautiful reminder that I need to continue staying strong for myself, and mostly for this loved one.

As for the sterling silver ring I am wearing in the first photo, my husband gave it to me. Sometimes what you need is right in front of you. Not only do I love the reminder of how much I am loved, but how much I need to do all things with love, and how important it is to spread love. It is from Alex and Ani. It also comes with the option of 14kt Rose Gold plated and an option of 14kt gold plated. Love is the greatest human virtue of all. It is at the root of all good things. How can you go wrong?

Finally, this cross bracelet in the photo below is by TAI. My mother-in-law gave it to me as a gift and I love the braided cord with the Swarovski crystals.  The combination makes it perfect to dress up or dress down. Crosses are all distinctive, with particular meanings for everyone. For me, it has many meanings, but the most important one right now is to have faith.

Do you wear inspirational jewelry? How do you find your inspiration? There is so much out there that I want to start buying them as gifts. Plus, it makes a better present if it has deep meaning, too!

Beautiful jewelry! I too have started wearing jewelry more often. My sister in law gifted me a simple bracelet from Pure Vida to support my breast cancer journey. It’s just simple pink roped bracelet, you wouldn’t know it’s for breast cancer at all, but it is the most meaningful piece of jewelry I have.

I’ve always been a wearer of sentimental jewelry. Very rarely will I wear statement jewelry. Thank you so much for sharing this brand with us.
