Red, White, and Cool – 4th of July outfits

Happy Fourth Of July!

I thought I’d share our outfits today. I’m not much of the type to go all out in terms of style for the Fourth of July in particular. That just means you won’t see me in stars and stripes from head to toe! However, I happened to come across this Zara dress in my closet earlier this week (that I had forgotten about). I actually bought it at the Zara while in Cannes, France a while back. I thought it’d be cute for the holiday, and a perfect way to keep cool while out at the park. You can’t see in the photo, but the dress has pockets, too! Additionally, the stretchy elastic is ideal for keeping the dress up around my shoulders so it’s easy to wear! I’ve always loved the off-shoulder look, but haven’t worn it much in the last year since becoming a mama! I accessorized it with a bold red Kate Spade bag, and voila!

On Nico, coincidentally this Zara Kids shirt worked well for today. A friend of ours gave it to him and it has cute little stripe detail on the sleeve cuffs and a navy blue pocket! I kept the navy blue theme with his shoes by Native and his comfy navy blue shorts from Old Navy. His navy blue stars bandana bib was given to him, also! I found so many similar ones by just googling “navy blue stars bandana bib.”

There are so many combinations of last minute outfit ideas, such as white denim shorts and a blue tank, a red dress, or blue jeans and a white top with a pop of red from earrings. You get the point. But this was also such a subtle way to tie in the colors and print for the day! I’ve linked similar items that we have on in the pictures at the bottom of this post.  How did you spend your 4th of July? Hope it was great!
