LBD (Little Black Dress) Engagement Outfit, Part 2

Many brides-to-be almost always have a very common question, and that begins with everything around what to wear for their engagement photos (if they choose to take some)! Similarly to wedding photos, these will be moments captured for you that will last a lifetime. I know that soon after my engagement excitement finally sunk in, my thoughts were around what type of theme or vibe I’d want for the photos (along other millions of wedding thoughts!) and what I was going to wear. I knew I’d be reminiscing over my photos for years to come!

With that said, I believe it is important to wear something that not only feels like you and your fiancé, but something that shows your style and personality together as a couple. My husband and I worked with our photographer to do two looks for our shoot. I briefly talk about how we chose our theme for our photos in a previous post: “My Tulle Skirt Engagement Outfit, Part 1.” Part 1 was my fun and whimsical day look, but today I’m sharing Part 2. I hope these engagement photos get you inspired for an outfit or theme, if you’re on that page in your life!

As you can see, we decided to go with a semi-formal evening look for this set of photos. The vibe it gives off and backdrop location in Paris couldn’t have been more perfect for us.

I went with a classic black dress (or what is also known as LBD/ “Little black dress”) that every woman needs in her closet. Black goes with everything! I decided to go with lace for a more romantic feel, but just make sure your materials work together. It was so easy for my husband to coordinate his look.

I chose red shoes because I wanted that bold pop of color to stand out next to his red tie. Red to me can signify different things such as love, vibrance, and much more. Another positive was that my dress was so comfortable and easy to move around in.

This look is so easy and it can be used to a date night, too! To shop my look, scroll to the bottom of this post down below for suggestions similar to my outfit!

Good luck to all you soon-to-be brides out there! Feel free to share with me what you wore or if you had a theme.  Beach? Nature? Home? Sporting event? It’s great to hear what you did (or what you want to do) and how it suits you as a couple!
